What AGSC Membership Means
The Auto Glass Safety Council develops and maintains the Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standard through procedures accredited by the American National Standards Institute. AGRSS covers the products, procedures, training, and documentation involved in professional auto glass replacement.
AGSC Registered Member Companies commit to following the standard and may undergo periodic independent onsite audits. Auto glass replacement technicians working for Registered Member Companies must also earn AGSC certification.
AGSC administers separate accreditation programs for auto glass replacement technicians, master auto glass replacement technicians, auto glass repair technicians, glass calibration specialists, and customer service representatives. Accreditation is valid for three years. A Certified Technician has passed an AGSC examination and works for an AGSC member company, while a Qualified Technician has passed the examination but does not work for a member company.
AGSC has independently recognized Transparency Auto Glass owner Ronnie Scoggins for earning its Master Auto Glass Technician certification. The recognition independently verifies Ronnie’s master-level auto glass training and industry knowledge.
AGSC Master Certified Auto Glass Technicians
Master certification is an advanced AGSC credential. A technician must have at least three years of industry experience and already hold AGSC technician certification before becoming eligible for the examination.

Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standards
A standards-based replacement addresses the complete installation rather than only the new pane. Important requirements include:

- Preparing the bonding surface for installation
- Using a compatible adhesive or retention system
- Following temperature and weather requirements

Transparency Auto Glass uses Dow/DuPont automotive glass adhesive and documents an approximately 30-minute minimum safe drive-away time under applicable conditions. The actual release time depends on the adhesive instructions and installation environment.
Transparency Auto Glass is also Autel certified and performs static and dynamic ADAS calibration. This allows the windshield replacement and required calibration to be coordinated through the same company.
